Water and Environmental Sanitation Specialist
Agnes Montangero’s professional background is in environmental engineering. She has 9 years experience as project manager, researcher, trainer and consultant in the fields of faecal sludge management and environmental sanitation planning in a number of projects in Ghana, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Vietnam, Thailand and Argentina. She has been developing guidelines on wastewater/sludge management (selection of treatment options, design/monitoring of treatment plants, planning recommendations) for engineers and planners in low and middle-income countries as well as teaching and training materials. She has developed a tool supporting the planning and evaluation of integrated water supply, wastewater and solid waste management systems with a focus on resource conservation and environmental protection (PhD thesis). |
