Urs Hagnauer

Urs Hagnauer’s professional background lies in management and human resources development. He has over 29 years of professional experience. During the past 25 years he has been working in a number of programmes and projects funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and implemented by Swiss NGOs.

He has been holding direct line positions and advisory positions in projects related to the support of small-scale enterprises and technical vocational education. Lately, Urs Hagnauer has been working more frequently in positions related to human resources development and capacity building of local partner institutions. The positions range from project collaborator to project leader. He gas gained professional and cultural experience during his assignments in Bhutan, Costa Rica, Kyrgyzstan, Lesotho, Nepal, Pakistan, and Paraguay.

His strengths lie in management related skills, in particular human resources development, capacity building, institutional development, and project management, including planning, organizing monitoring and evaluation. In addition, his ability to easily interact and establish good contacts with the local community is another asset that contributes to successful development cooperation work.
