Sustainable Building and Settlement Development Specialist
Claudia Schneider’s professional background is in Urban Development Planning (MSc, DPU/ UCL London) and in Architecture (TU München). She has 10 years of working experience as an advisor and project manager in the fields of urban development in general, urban governance, decentralisation and devolution, capacity building in urban planning, and in the design and implementation of dwellings, schools and industrial buildings, in South-East Asia, Latin-America, Europe and Eastern Africa. She had worked with the UN (UNDP, UNV), the German development cooperation (GTZ, ded), and internationally in the private sector. Her strengths are in the areas of project appraisals, conceptualisation of programmes and projects, strategic intervention, project management, impact monitoring, as well as, organisational and institutional development, and capacity building in shelter related issues. |
