The World Bank funded Laos Restructuring of Education Development Project aimed to restructure the education sector in Laos and to enhance educational facilities especially in the backward rural areas. Over 270 new primary schools and over 30 lower secondary schools were constructed within the scope of the project.
Skat provided technical assistance in designing simplified school designs, redesigning the school construction work programme quality management and suggesting changes to the cumbersome and lengthy administrative process of constructing Lao primary schools.
