Workshop on the Management of International Networks for Knowledge Sharing
The Skat Foundation and Helvetas, two Swiss NGOs organised a four-day workshop on the management of international networks fostering knowledge sharing in development cooperation. The workshop took place place on 25th to 28th April 2006 in St. Gallen, Switzerland.
For the most part of the thematic areas of development cooperation networks for international knowledge sharing between organisations and development practitioners have been established. The goal of the workshop was to bring together primarily networking practitioners who are directly involved in the management of rather formalized or institutionalised international networks for knowledge sharing.
The workshop provided space and time for addressing the day-to-day challenges networking practitioners face, for tapping into the collective expertise of those in attendance. The event was also an opportunity for network managers to share practical experiences, support colleagues and learn from each other, so that they can further improve their network management practice.
